- 1792, Beethoven moved to Vienna in order to study with Haydn, financed by the Prince Elector of Cologne.
- Beethoven's lessons with haydn did not go well, because Haydn was a Court composer of the old school--the antithesis of Beethoven.
- When Beethoven performed his first three trios, Haydn liked least the one that Beethoven liked best, making the young composer suspect his teacher of jealousy.
